Do's and Don'ts

-DON'T smoke or drink or do drugs.
-DO get on prenatal vitamins and stay on them.
-Do get lots of good food, exercise and rest.
-Do continue your education--you are going to need it.
-DON'T go partying because you are bored or your friends ask you too.
-Try to stay in contact with your baby's father, it is easy to get over emotional and break up.. but he has a right to be there while you are pregnant. IT is HIS baby too..; not just yours.
-Don't be selfish, whiney, or grumpy if you can help it. It will not improve the atmosphere in your house.
-Make real plans to become independent of your family as swiftly as possible. It is NOT your parents job to support YOUR child. Or you. And if you stay at home your mom and you are going to argue about how to raise your child.
-Get your life organized. plan your doctor visits and set up a hospital for delivery that you could get to by yourself IF necessary.
-Don't depend on friends to help. You will be old news in about two months, no one is going to care about you and your bump. Get used to doing things by yourself. You will have to either walk or take the bus to appointments and shopping. Carrying a baby and groceries home is going to be a major challenge. No one will be there to help when it is 4 am and your baby has been crying for two hours.. you need some coping skills.

  1. I really loved the video and presentation. The presentation shows how look great while being pregnant since some people think that is a problem. The video was really cute and impressive. Excellent information.
